This page explains the rights you have over the personal data described in our Privacy Policy, and how to exercise them.
1. Rights under GDPR (EU / UK / Switzerland)
- Access — request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — for anything processed on the basis of consent (newsletter, analytics, functional cookies). Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

2. Rights under California CCPA/CPRA
California residents additionally have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected and the categories of sources/recipients.
- Delete personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA.
- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
3. Email list — CAN-SPAM
Our newsletter complies with the US CAN-SPAM Act:
- Every email identifies the sender (Bernard W. Piccione) and includes a valid postal contact.
- Every email includes a working one-click unsubscribe link that is honored promptly (typically within minutes; always within 10 business days).
- Subject lines are accurate and non-deceptive.
- You will never be signed up without a double opt-in confirmation.
To unsubscribe immediately, click "unsubscribe" in any newsletter or email info@bernardpiccione.com with the address you want removed.
4. How to exercise a right
Email info@bernardpiccione.com with the subject "Privacy request" and describe what you want. Please send from the email address associated with your data so we can verify the request; we may ask for additional verification if the request concerns sensitive fields (advisory intake, payments).
We aim to respond within 30 days. If we cannot fulfill a request (for example, because a record is required for tax law) we will tell you why.
5. Cookie preferences
You can change analytics and functional cookie choices any time from the Cookie Policy page.
